The Bentway

Brand new to the city this year is The Bentway, a public skating trail that runs underneath the Gardiner Expressway, just west of Bathurst. It is open every day of the week and on weekends, you can eat delicious treats at a variety of different food trucks and warm up in the beer gardens hosted by Strongbow and Molson Coors. Don’t have skates? Not to worry, rentals are available for only $10! The path is open from 11am to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday, and 11am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Winter at Ontario Place is a totally free festival located on the West Island of Ontario Place. It features loads of winter-themed fun including: the Winter Light Exhibition that boasts a 12” tall icicle, an outdoor skating rink, IMAX movies in the newly re-opened Cinesphere, a large bonfire, illuminated trails, concessions with warm food and beverages and so much more. Stop in this winter season before it closes on March 18th.

The Toronto Light Festival is back again in the Distillery Historic District! The Festival takes visitors on a visual journey by transforming the area into an open-air gallery and illuminating the dark winter nights. The installations of all shapes and sizes exhibit the creativity of local and international light artists. Visitors of all ages are invited to participate in exciting displays like a teleporter, a piano that plays light, and interactive birds in a psychedelic nest. Take a stroll through the festival before or after dining at one of the Distillery District’s renowned restaurants before it closes on March 4th.
