The appearance marked his first visit to Canada, celebrating his unique collaboration in the creation of the residential lobbies for the project coming to Yonge at Eglinton.
“It’s interesting to design public spaces in a big building like this. It’s a vision – you can use modern furniture, modern architecture – things I’m really interested in. It’s up to me to find an idea of what will make this building different from the other buildings. The minute you enter, you have to feel that you’re in a place that’s special,” says Karl Lagerfeld.
Hosted by Freed Developments and CD Capital Developments, the party welcomed real estate professionals, designers, architects and fashion lovers to the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos presentation centre at 2131 Yonge Street for a night unprecedented in Toronto’s condominium market.
With these lobbies, this is the first interior design project in North America to involve the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld. Watch our exclusive #LobbiesByKarl event video for a behind the scenes look at the night as it unfolded.
