Talk about making a lasting first impression – in more ways than one! Style icon Karl Lagerfeld will be designing the entrance lobbies at Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos. – what is destined to be the trendy condo and the place to be, for obvious reasons. This new mixed-use development, under development by CD Capital Developments and Freed Developments, will be coming to the vibrant Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood and marks Lagerfeld's first foray into Canada's residential real estate realm. "What I really like is what I've never done before," Lagerfeld said in a press release. "I am always looking for opportunities to expand my range of creative expression, and am excited by the opportunity to design this in Toronto, Canada as part of the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos. I'm excited to be part of the CD Capital & Freed approach to the Art of Change."

The developers are equally excited about the alliance. "My partner Todd Cowan and I approached the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos with the goal to develop an iconic architectural landmark destination in the heart of Toronto. The Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos will be at 2131 Yonge St., in the vibrant Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood. It will feature a 28-storey tower on the north side, stepping down to a 12-storey midrise building of lofts to the south. Suite options will include studios, one- and two-bedroom designs.
